He didn’t just find a major, he found his purpose 🧡 A classroom at Yarbrough Elementary sparked Brandon Rolston’s passion for special education and set his path. Through UTPB’s teacher residency program, he gained hands-on experience and built his skills in real classrooms.

Most 7- and 8-year-old football players dream of the NFL. For Ben Patterson, that dream is now within reach. The former UTPB WR has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent. He also graduates May 9 with a petroleum engineering degree! Falcons up!

From sleepless nights to clinicals and exams, Nadine Marcelo is graduating with her BSN and heading into critical care nursing. Inspired by her family of nurses, she says support and community made all the difference at UTPB. 🧡

For many Falcons, UTPB is a home away from home, even 1,700+ miles away. Maria Tarrago, from Guatemala, graduates with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. “Adjusting to a new country, culture, and academics was not easy,” she said. Soccer brought her to UTPB, where she found home.

“UTPB has helped me believe in myself,” Valaire James said. 🧡 After stage four endometriosis, she transferred in 2024 and will graduate with her B.A. in Social Work, plans to get a Master's in Social Work. 🎓 She graduates debt-free and says trust your support system.
