Yesterday, the School of Medicine launched its latest pathways to medicine initiative: The Pathways Explorer. Retrofitted from a school bus, the mobile unit is designed to support various medical education programming for K-12, colleges and universities and more!

The school hosted its first Workshops on Wellness (WOW) Day! Faculty, staff and students spent the afternoon engaging in breakout sessions, cooking classes and even a goat yoga session! #WowWellnessDay

A couple weeks ago, our general surgery residency had the opportunity to host the American College of Surgeons-North Texas Chapter Annual Meeting in Tyler, Texas. The event featured highlighted speakers, abstract presentations and surgical skills competition.

The UT Tyler School of Medicine's cardiovascular disease fellowship is dedicated to shaping leaders in cardiovascular disease care for East Texas. Established in July 2023, the program accepts two fellows per cycle. 🩺
