@v1dhun origin refers to the anchor origin whereas document.domain refers to the current domain of the site you're on. If you change origin to window.origin this will reflect the current origin of the site.

You can use baseURI to conceal XSS payloads! Every HTML tag has the baseURI property. Base allows you to change the baseURI.
