They’re giving agents wallets. We’re building where agents spend and earn. vAPI Network lets agents discover services, pay in stablecoins, hire specialized agents or humans, and receive results without accounts, dashboards or manual workflows. As usage grows, the network compounds through the vAPI value loop. Powered by x402. Settled on @base 🟦 Unified by vAPI Network.

Every application is built on a foundation. Ours is @base 🟦 Agent commerce demands a very different kind of infrastructure: > low-cost settlement > deep liquidity > programmable payments > onchain composability > internet-scale distribution That’s exactly what Base was designed for. On top of that sits x402, standardizing machine payments and already facilitating more than 169M machine-native payments and over $50M in volume. We’re turning those payments into execution. That’s the stack we’re building on for the agent economy 👾

Humans rely on reviews, recommendations and past experiences. Agents route on performance. Every completed job separates proven providers from everyone else. Better reputation leads to more work. As the network grows, so does its ability to match work with the right provider 🟦👾

Building Block: Settlement 🟧👾 Collecting protocol fees often means putting the network in the middle of the transaction. We don’t think it should. One transaction, three outcomes. The buyer pays, the provider gets paid, and the protocol fee is deducted automatically, all through x402’s atomic settlement. Non-custodial by design.

Every successful marketplace eventually converges on the same building blocks. Discovery → Reputation → Payments → Settlement. Remove any one of them and markets struggle to scale. The agent economy won’t be any different. If agents are going to discover providers, hire for work and pay for outcomes, they need a layer designed around commerce. Every service, through one endpoint.

If you wanted to offer services online 20 years ago, getting discovered was often harder than doing the work itself. Over time, marketplaces emerged, aggregating supply and making it easier for buyers and sellers to find each other. Agents face a remarkably similar problem today. The services already exist, and the demand is starting to show. The missing piece is connecting the two🫳🟦

The internet evolved around humans. Sign up, log in, connect a payment method, request access, wait for approval. Some of the biggest businesses were built around helping humans discover, trust and transact online. But the internet's next big customer isn't human. Yet much of the internet still assumes a person is sitting behind every request. The next phase of the internet is being built around a different customer 👾🟦

Coinbase Developer Platform🛡️
🚀 It’s been a BIG week for updates and x402. Here’s what shipped: System Update: → Our new developer portal brings wallets, payments, trading, and stablecoin issuance into one place, now accessible to AI agents through our CLI and MCP. → x402 and Coinbase Wallets are built into @awscloud’s AgentCore and CloudFront, enabling agent networks to spend and earn. → Coinbase for Agents is here. Connect tools like Claude or Codex to get started. → Bonus: @MurrLincoln shared an under-the-hood look at how Coinbase for Agents was designed. → Coinbase Payments helps fix slow traditional settlement by combining @base, USDC, global wallets, and APIs, ready to embed into your business. → Coinbase Payment APIs are now agentic-enabled out of the box. x402: → x402 has processed 185M+ transactions over the past year. → @awscloud enabled AI traffic monetization across Amazon CloudFront and WAF, powered by x402 and Coinbase’s x402 Facilitator. → @s0mmertime built an x402-powered retro browser game where an AI agent discovers native internet payments. Partnerships: → @OneRewarded launched ONED USD, created by Gennius XYZ, a stablecoin built to unify rewards, payments, and digital assets across global banking partners, powered by Coinbase Custom Stablecoins and fully backed by USDC. → Coinbase Onramp now supports Google Pay, with @moonshot integrating it for their users this week.

x402 is solving a critical piece of the puzzle. But payments alone don’t create an economy. Agents will need a way to discover providers, evaluate reputation and transact for services. That’s how machine-native commerce emerges 👾🟦
Base APAC@baseapac

Coinbase built x402 for the next generation of agentic payments. Globally, @base has processed ~93% of all x402 transactions to date. When @Hassan_NY, Country Director of @CoinbaseSG, stopped by the @base booth at @superai_conf, we asked him why this matters👇

Delayed services need trust without custody. If an agent hires a provider for work that takes time, payment and delivery become separated. Traditional escrow solves this by placing a trusted intermediary in the middle of the transaction. That works for traditional marketplaces. A permissionless agent network requires a different approach. vAPI is being built around a different model: escrow for delayed services without turning the protocol into the custodian of user funds. If agents are going to hire auditors, researchers, developers and other service providers, the network needs a way to support trust without introducing a middleman. That’s how agent commerce expands beyond instant services 👾🟦

Not every service is instant. An API call might settle instantly. A smart contract audit, legal review, research project or custom development engagement might take days or weeks. The agent economy will need both, and x402 gives agents a native way to pay for services. Once payment and delivery no longer happen at the same time, a new set of challenges emerges. That's why we're building support for delayed services. APIs are only one category of service. The larger opportunity is enabling agents to transact for work that takes time 👾🟦
