ADHD by any chance? If so, that would be the likely culprit. Right before/early period your hormone levels drop which affects your ability to regulate dopamine and other hormones as well. As such, adhd meds and other stimulants become less effective which was worsen pmdd, emotional regulation, and functional abilities! I don't track mine but I always know when it's about to show up because I get major depression issues, struggle to sleep, and can't focus on a damn thing whether work or fun stuff 😭 contraceptives usually regulate hormone levels so they tend to help, tho ofc other side effects. Women git it rough but Women with neurodivergent brains really get an ass kicking every month...

DOES ANYONE ELSE BECOME SEVERELY INCAPABLE OF BASIC FUNCTIONING THE FIRST COUPLE DAYS OF THEIR PERIOD???? doesnt matter if i sleep good or take my meds it takes me hours to hype myself up to get up or do ANYTHING, a few days later its suddenly rainbows and sunshines again

@vaempy I started taking herbal supplements, and only after 3 weeks of taking them my period cramps aren’t killing me qwq It also helped my stress and focus somehow- Idk if you’ll have smth similar in aus tho

@vaempy I got a hysterectomy for this exact reason. Truly the best decision of my life. I wouldn’t be able to function for about a week :c

i also havent been on any form of contraception for abt a year now so my periods symptoms are sooo fkin bad now that my bodys regulated again - like hormonal acne, migraines, cramps, i remember when i WAS on BC i had light periods, much less acne, and didnt get pmdd but now omg..
