@KinezumiJ Yea I just wanted to chime in to stop spreading misinformation. Its making cover artists look bad. Im sure they just didnt know though so its ok!!!!

@vallydotsub You can still license the backing track too - it's harder and more expensive than re-recording it so few would, but possible. I'm confused why Dumas is acting like it's illegal to cover a song when the issue is a very specific licensing thing.

Distributing covers is legal as long as you pay the appropriate license, and reproduce the back track which 99% of cover artists already do and have done for years and years. The confusion here is that rusino is uncomfortable with it, not that its illegal.
