3) i always found the concept of comparing a vampiric birth to a human birth kinda inconsistent bc this fandom would never consider marius or magnus to be maternal vampiric figures. lestat turned his own mother for example, but this allegory only seems to work for loustat.

i think if you're going to write essay's about the unholy family dynamics (iwtv) you can't ignore the racial aspect of louclaudia's relationship and their relationship with lestat (a white man in the 1900s..) like that really does add a lot of context
