I booked a ride yesterday, and when it popped up, the driver had a feminine name. My husband even pointed it out, “Oh, babe, she’s a woman”. I was like, okayyy, love that, female power 💅🏽 Before the ride, I did my usual, asked if she had AC. She said yes. We got in, I sat at the back with the kids, my husband sat in front since she already mentioned she didn’t really know the route. Fair enough. Then I asked her to turn on the AC. That’s when she said her fuel was low and if she puts on the AC, it might finish before we get to our destination. I was confused because we literally asked you before 😭 She eventually turned it on, but the moment we hit a bit of traffic, she switched it off again, saying the fuel wouldn’t last if she kept it running. At that point, I was just there like… okay 😅 And driving-wise, she was really hugging the steering wheel, very tense, it just made the whole experience a bit uncomfortable. This was my first time with a female driver, and honestly, it wasn’t great. But I still support women, this isn’t even about that. I just feel like if you’re offering a service, things like fuel and basic comfort shouldn’t become the customer’s problem.
