March 21: Frost/Nixon (2008) Talky but gripping. Howard restrains his sentimentality and lets performance and structure do the work.

Mar 21 Prison

March 20: The Da Vinci Code (2006) Terrible film and worse book. Hanks and Howard try their best but to no avail. Langdon running through Paris to the stirring music of Hans Zimmer’s “Chevaliers de Sangreal” is cool though.

Pick four movies that you would rate five stars, all beginning with the same letter. You may exclude "The" if you wish. For example, B for The Big Lebowski.

March 19: Cinderella Man (2005) Solid, old-fashioned prestige filmmaking. Earnest rather than inspired, but emotionally effective.
@mikemoviez How Walter Hill convinced Paramount to let a 19-year-old unknown Murphy star alongside a bona fide star like Nolte is beyond me. It redefined the genre forever.
AMERICAN PSYCHO [2000]
Directed by Mary Harron
DP: Andrzej Sekula
What's your opinion of this one? I very rarely see it posted, or mentioned in comments. I think it's excellent, and now that it's twenty six years old, I feel justified calling it a modern classic.
