April 27th -- On This Day in BC Sport History: 1994 Led by owner @ArthurGriffiths, Vancouver is granted an NBA franchise. The team, later known as the Vancouver Grizzlies, began play in the 1995-96 season out of the newly-built GM Place before relocating to Memphis in 2001.
