I never played with Bob. He was a player when I was a first year apprentice in 1975. Fantastic player. Latch and TF got the plaudits but he was big part of it

I was dropping something off and it came up I was a tradesman and he reckoned he had 18 years work and counting thanks to the big job in town . He was a nice guy and saved the club after the scouser
