AI at Meta@AIatMeta

Introducing Muse Spark, the first in the Muse family of models developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. Muse Spark is a natively multimodal reasoning model with support for tool-use, visual chain of thought, and multi-agent orchestration. Muse Spark is available today at meta.ai and the Meta AI app. We’re also making it available in private preview via API to select partners, and we hope to open-source future versions of the model. BIG 🚨 An Indian tourist in Afghanistan was stopped by Taliban for a passport check. On hearing he was from India, the Afghani welcomed him and let him go without verifying his documents 😅

xAI's Colossus 2 is officially recognized as the WORLD'S FIRST gigawatt-scale AI training datacenter Next up: xAI aims to be the first to bring 10GW, 100GW, and even 1TW of coherent training compute online At Colossus 1, the team deployed 100,000+ H100/H200 GPUs in just 122 days, from construction to fully operational training Most datacenters of similar scale take 2-4 years from the arrival of the first GPUs to complete rack install, networking, cooling, power-up, deployment, and full-scale training... all in just 19 days Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said "That is superhuman. There's only one person in the world who could do that, Elon Musk"

A public company CEO told me AI coding has had negligible impact on his engineering teams, instead the real transformation has been on their product and design teams using Replit. I asked him how does he reconcile this with CEOs saying that 25-50% of code is generated by AI? He said that’s also true in their case—AI does generate a lot of their code—but that whatever time saved in generating the code is lost back in debugging, reverting bugs, and security audits. So if you measure time to ship, PRs merged, or whatever high-level metric you don’t see any impact. Whereas his non-technical teams gained a fundamentally new super power of being able to make software. Prototyping with Replit makes iteration speed incredibly faster before it gets to engineering. And non-product teams—like HR—can for the first time solve problems where vendors don’t have the exact solutions they’re looking for. I was surprised to hear the part about engineering teams, and I’m sure every company will be different, but it made sense the profound impact coding agents are having on non-technical folks.

Capitalism is the biggest story bought by society In Sapiens(book) it's said religion the greatest story humanity has ever believed in giving it common beliefs and shared understanding of the world but atheism in the world is increasing, heck alot of south eastern cultures are not super bound by religion and rituals. Even patriotism isn't a higher binding force. I grew with immense nationalism in mind just to realize all we're celebrating is just 70 year old history. Capitalism is the underlying force on which alot of humans live their day to day. They go to work, they save, they invest, they buy, just to climb the imaginary capitalism ladder. Bonus - it also gives you status rights. Most incentives are just purely structured around this - equity/extra/bonus/hikes/commisions/bribes - the entire economic wheel. A third of your day & life is work. So most of what the humanity lives and work for is this story of Capitalism. While it's a great thing we have this common binding fabric, the problem starts when you go day to day forgetting this and being part of the circus. That's where soul-less jobs, boring work & thankless careers start to come in. Even the biggest of existential questions are shrugged under the carpet thinking this is how it's meant to be. Most of the society just plays along without peeping into the larger scheme of things. But am sure we'll evolve, there will be a new philosophy, a fresh way to look at how we organise ourselves.

much needed. the adoption across enterprises have been limited by having their own models post trained for their setting. this will be valuable.
