I did a chargeback two years ago with ICICI. Two weeks later, they cancelled it, saying the conditions were not met. It was a chargeback against Atlys, where they did not deliver the visa on time nor issue the refund. However, due to this, my account was blacklisted in Razorpay’s payment system and I couldn’t make any payments. I had to work with the support team to get it unblocked.

In India, credit card companies refuse to do Chargebacks (ICICI, SBI, Kotak ime) and in fact most customer support agents pretend to even not know what it means.
They offer to only report a fraud and block the card. No option for Chargeback on insufficient service. Why ?
