Completely understand why @MahuaMoitra is rising to defend racist rabble-rouser Garga Chatterjee. He was Führerin's Brown Shirt who had the licence to accost, abuse, assault non-Bengali speaking people in Bengal. This is how TMC has debased and destroyed Bengal, Bengali culture.

There is a particular kind of beauty in the word "Sanatana". It conveys something which is sans beginning and end. It challenges our modern obsession with the "new" by suggesting that the most profound truths are those that have already stood the test of time, waiting only to be rediscovered and reapplied. "Renewing Eternity" by @bhoomiputraa is a poignant exploration of how the eternal principles of Indian civilization continue to breathe through our contemporary lives. This @IndicaOrg publication is an inquiry into how we carry the eternal within us, even as the world around us shifts so rapidly. It urges the reader to look at our traditions not as stagnant rituals, but as a living pulse, an "eternity" that requires our conscious engagement to stay vibrant. It is a work for those who find themselves at the intersection of ancient roots and modern aspirations, seeking a language that honors both. amzn.in/d/01sqUssS

If some Hindu had tried to interpret Islam without any deep study about gender justice, women's rights or lack of rights, he or she wouldn't have survived outside studio. But a Muslims can say anything , insult a woman editor but remain a respected analyst!

A Muslim man accusing a Hindu woman of “Brahminical patriarchy” is what the DMK is all about.

It’s hard to believe we live in a world where western feminists think the terrorists who drilled nails into the private parts of Jewish mothers and gang raped underage girls until their pelvises broke are “freedom fighters.”

Can a simple plate of breakfast, quietly shape a student’s future? In a small town in Karnataka, a couple has been doing just that for years. In Kotturu, a humble eatery—fondly known as Tippanna Hotel or Prema Ajji Hotel—is more than a food stop. For decades, it has been a lifeline for students chasing big dreams on small budgets. Here, a full breakfast costs just ₹10. Idlis, dosa, paddu, rice bath—simple meals, served with care. At a time when rising costs are forcing small eateries to increase prices, this couple chose a different path. They kept meals affordable, so students never have to choose between hunger and education. The owner was never formally educated. Perhaps that’s what makes this effort even more powerful. He knows what missed opportunities feel like. And today, he makes sure others don’t have to. For students, this isn’t just food. It’s dignity, consistency, and one less worry before class. #PositiveNews #ActofKindness #GoodNews #Karnataka [₹10 breakfast Karnataka, affordable student meals, Tippanna Hotel Kotturu]

She grew up watching fear take over her village after Naxal violence shattered a police station. Years later, she returned to the same land—not with fear, but with classrooms, books, and hope. Namrata Jain, from conflict-hit Dantewada, had her education paused after Class 10. Her mother quietly fought for her future and sent her to Bhilai to study. She failed UPSC once. Then refused to stop. AIR 99 in 2016. AIR 12 in 2018. IPS to IAS—on sheer persistence. Today, as Collector of Narayanpur, she is rebuilding Abujhmaad through “School Keinta” (School is Calling)—a mission that traced 2,965 out-of-school children across 22,364 homes and brought them back to learning. The impact is already visible: 10 closed schools reopened 24 new primary schools started 800+ children brought into classrooms 49 Anganwadi centres revived And in Kodenar village, children sang the National Anthem in school for the very first time. Because sometimes, the most powerful response to violence is a classroom that refuses to stay closed. #NamrataJain #IASOfficer #UPSC #Chhattisgarh

This boy talks of side-effects of a popular anti-depressant called ZoLoft 👇 It's approved for children as young as SIX years in India 🇮🇳 too. Antidepressant sales have increased by 60% in India. Each such kid adds to this growth rate. Don't let pharma companies hijack the mental health agenda. I say this #everydamnday Let's put #health back in #healthcare Healthcare needs a re-think #evidencebasedmedicine #pharmatruths #mentalhealth

I was prescribed Zoloft at FIVE YEARS OLD, and I only got off of it last year. 💊 I’m experiencing uncontrollable twitches, lack of genuine emotion, and cognitive problems in my early 20s because of it. The medicalization of children must STOP! 🛑

Five Nikahs, three halalas and conversion by Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui: Read this horror from Indore In 2012, this Brahmin woman met a man named Naveen Rana on social media. In 2013, he called her to Delhi from Indore. From there, she was taken to a madrasa located in Falat, where she got to know that Naveen was actually Naved. She was held captive in the madrasa where she was forced into Islamic teachings. She was made to recite the kalma and wear a burqa. From there, she was shifted to a madrasa in Meerut for another six months and then relocated to the same madrasa in Muzaffarnagar. In Falat Madrasa, Maulana Abdur Rehman raped her. When she protested, he would beat her after taking her clothes off. Then he gave her triple talaq and left her. Then she was taken to Khalat Madrasa, where she was made to spend her iddat period for three months. Then her halala was done in a Jaipur madrasa for five days. In 2015, she was taken to Shamli in UP, where her second nikah took place with a man named Mudsir. She was taken to Gujarat post-nikah, but Mudsir died in 2019. Then she was trapped by a cleric named Maulana Kaari Asman and taken to a madrasa in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh. Her halala was done, and after that she was married to one Khalid Hussain. But Khalid’s family was not ready to accept her as he was already married. In 2022, he gave her triple talaq and she had to undergo another halala in Baghpat as Khalid wanted to remarry her. Later, Khalid’s brother Sakib, raped the woman. Then Fakhruddin, Khalid’s brother-in-law, did the halala and said, “Now you can remarry Khalid as you are pure now.” Then she was finally married to Khalid again. Finally, she got out of their clutches and has registered a complaint at Ankur Vihar PS in Ghaziabad on May 2 against as many as 16 accused. I met her at the event of the Kerala Story 2 film in Delhi when she was rescued by the local activists:

What Hamas did on October 7, 2023 — cutting off women’s breasts after gang-raping them — was done to Hindu women in Kolkata on August 16-18, 1946, during Direct Action Day. Such depravity and savagery of jihadis can be traced back to many, many genocides.
Visegrád 24@visegrad24

In a new report , a survivor from the October 7th attack, using the pseudonym Sapir, told how a woman was gang raped by terrorists, during which one cut off her breast. 'He throws it on the road, and they are playing with it,' she said. A terrorist then 'shot her in the head' while still assaulting her. This is the reality of Hamas’ sexual violence, which some on the Left still choose to ignore.

At 18, R K Narayan faced a setback — failing his university entrance exam in English. This gap year would go on to become a turning point in his life. After moving to Lakshmipuram, Narayan began teaching English in Channapatna, though it didn’t succeed, leading him back to Mysuru. During his college years, he wrote stories and novels and shared them with friends over tea in local cafes, though they never saw the light of day. Years later, he sent the manuscript of 'Swami and Friends' to a friend in the UK with instructions to either find a publisher or throw it into the Thames. His friend, luckily connected to the famous writer Graham Greene, shared it with him. Greene championed its publication, launching Narayan’s career as a novelist. Published in 1935, 'Swami and Friends' was a semi-autobiographical novel based on his childhood. With Greene’s support, The Bachelor of Arts followed in 1937 and established him as a literary force. Personal tragedy struck in 1937 with the death of his father, followed by his wife's passing two years later. Despite the heartbreak, Narayan found solace in writing, producing some of his most remarkable novels during this period. Published in 1942, Malgudi Days captured the essence of ordinary life in a fictional town. The collection was later adapted into a hit television series on Doordarshan in the 1980s. His novel The Guide won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1960. R K Narayan passed away in 2001 at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of timeless stories that continue to resonate with readers worldwide. Which of R K Narayan's books is your favourite? Tell us in the comment below! #BirthAnniversary #RKNarayan #IndianLiterature #MalgudiDays #IndianAuthor
