which is obviously reasonable in order to avoid damages to property and injuries to people (and related liability), but raises issues in relation to the protection and preservation of the marine environment, in particular of areas beyond national jurisdiction 2/3

The @ESA Satellite Aeolus is set to be an example of "safe" re-entry, yet "safe" means re-entry in the ocean (maybe in the spacecraft cemetery in the Pacific? ) We only know that "for now [ESA is] targeting the best ocean corridor to reenter") 1/2
