@venettzz From what part of your family comes the indigenous american part? From the italian? Were they living in America?

@BalticDanny Exactly! 2 years ago I was a lot more active in trying and paying whatever was needed to find the records but since then I have been getting more connected with my baltic heritage without the need of seeking citizenship. I've been listening to quite a lot of lithuanian songs

@venettzz Though I guess if you don't need citizenship per se, I wouldn't bother. Lengthy and costly. Most important is that you yourself know your heritage.

@BalticDanny I've actually joined these two groups here with hopes that I would be able to find anything. You know what's "funny"? I have quite a lot of high cM lithuanian matches but they're all old people and they never answer when I message them. They could lead me in the right direction

@venettzz Damn. You should check Lithuanian geological groups in Facebook. Also for my searches Geni and Myheritage reports were useful. Though it could be hit or miss.

@BalticDanny And I've been paying the fee to be able to find their documents for me to get lithuanian citizenship but not because I "need" it for benefits, because I'm italian already, grew ip here in italy, so my sole purpose for citizenship is to reconnect with my Baltic roots.

@venettzz Pretty cool. My ancestors are also from those areas (Aukštaitija overall). You're could be eligible for Lithuanian citizenship if they left for Brazil during Interwar period or later.
