An overwhelming majority of Hindus —99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% — including most Dharmāchāryas, gurus, pravachankars, purohits, pujārīs, archakas, sadhus, sants, and other recognised Hindu religious authorities, possess virtually no clear understanding of the foundational doctrines of Sanatana Dharma (Hindutva), particularly its boundaries. In other words, they lack swayambodh (स्वयं बोध)—self-awareness of what truly constitutes being Hindu—and parabodh (पर बोध)—the ability to correctly distinguish non-Hindu doctrines, beliefs, elements, and practices. As a result, they propagate all sorts of nonsense, such as: > Vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam as blanket universalism, > Ahimsā paramo dharmaḥ as absolute pacifism, > Bharat as Vishwaguru without civilisational grounding, > venerating historical tormentors, > worshipping at dargahs of anti-Hindu figures, and similar confusions. Rohith Vemula, a research scholar at the University of Hyderabad, committed suicide on 17 January 2016. It led to a huge furore. The university was already on the boil since July 2015. The reason was: "On 30th July, 2015, 'Namaz-e-Janaza' was organised by Ambedkar Students Association (ASA) in the campus of University of Hyderabad for a terrorist Yakub Memon who was involved in serial bomb blasts which took place in Mumbai in March 1993. Anti-national slogans were raised and banners with 'Tum Kitne Yakub Maaroge, Har Ghar Se Yakub Niklega' were also shown." The Government of India appointed a Commission of Inquiry headed by Justice Ashok Kumar Roopanwal (Retd.), which, after a thorough enquiry, found that neither Rohith Vemula belonged to a Scheduled Caste (Mala caste), nor was there any discrimination, harassment, etc., and that his suicide was entirely due to personal reasons. Kota Srinivas Vyas and the Greyhounds. One of the finest cops ever, Vyas was the man who founded the Greyounds in 1989, an elite combat unit to take on the Naxals, who had become a menace in Andhra Pradesh. Vyas had joined IPS in 1974 from Andhra Pradesh cadre, and was initally posted in Gudur as ASP. He later served as SP in Nalgonda, Nizamabad, and was the first SP for the newly created Vijayawada Urban dt from May 1983 to August 1984. His tenure in Vijayawada was noted for his crackdown on the rowdy gangs there. He would however be remembered for Greyhounds, a professional combat unit set up to battle the Naxal menace. He created a force of specialized commandos, who were given proper training in guerilla, jungle warfare, after a gruelling schedule. They were also taught how to survive only on dry fruit rations. He integrated the combat teams with an effective intelligence network. Also the teams were trained in night operations, marksmanship. He also ensured effective use was made of local informers who knew the hilly, jungle terrain well. Even when he was moved out of Greyhounds, he was regularly consulted. His tactics against Naxals, made him a high profile target. And on January 27, 1993 he was shot dead at LB Stadium, Hyderabad in an attack led by Md.Nayeemuddin, and 4 others. Nayeem was initially with People's War Group, after surrendering, he went on to become a dreaded gangster. #Naman to Vyas Gaaru. it's due to men like him. Andhra Pradesh could win the long war against Naxals.
