Also animation is nearly entirely dead in the US, and we have tons of unions in the film industry that drive the cost of everything up massively. In Japan, anime is produced in sweatshop like conditions with artists getting paid barely anything and expected to work insane hours. The only people making anime do so for the love of the game but this doesn't stop them from becoming depressed or dying young. Being a manga artist might actually be one of the deadliest professions in the world. Akira Toriyama actually died relatively old for a famous manga artist. I personally think the way the anime industry works is insane and it should be massively overhauled. They need a way to cut production companies out of the loop, and for the studios that produce anime to own their work, and get paid in residuals and shares instead of salary. The problem is none of the studios have the money to do this, but this was effectively what made early Pixar work. It is also how modern tech companies attract talent.

@ihavebrewster I love ACNH. It is a wonderful game in the genre. Pokopia CLEARY was inspired by ACNH. I think Pokopia is a better game. That said, Pokopia would not be a better game than ACNH if ACNH wasn’t there to learn from.

@Shrek30nBluRay @vnder_yt Honestly when they announced that the Switch 2 would a USB-C port on top, my mind immediately went to Switch 2-screens. A screen that connects to the top of the switch, powered by switch? Or maybe the second screen goes in the dock and projects only the top screen of gameplay.

Gleichzeitig baut Nintendo das Angebot der Nintendo Classics kontinuierlich aus. Und jetzt kommen offenbar auch noch ältere Pokémon-Titel auf die Switch, von denen einige ursprünglich für ein Dual Screen Setup konzipiert waren. Ich werde dazu in den kommenden Tagen einen ausführlichen Beitrag posten und auch ein Video veröffentlichen. Aber aktuell verdichtet sich für mich alles zu einem klaren Bild: Vielleicht steht die „2“ in Nintendo Switch 2 nicht nur für den Nachfolger der Konsole, sondern auch für einen zweiten Bildschirm! 👀
