@davidleavitt California gives free lunches to all kids so no one gets discriminated against or shamed for needing a free lunch.

As a foster child there were many days I went without food, and the only meal that I had was provided at school. In high school the system tried to shame the fact that I was a ward of the state, with at the beginning of every day being called during homeroom to pick up a large bright Orange free lunch meal voucher, to be turned in at lunch. Why did this have to happen daily? Why couldn’t it be weekly or monthly, or not at all? It wasn’t my fault that I had no parents. To read that schools are now giving children “lunch debt” is absolutely disheartening. I couodnt have been happier when I read the news a while back about Massachusetts giving free school lunches. And when I read about Tom Walz’s actions on this subject. No child should go without eating. And that there are Republicans angry for children being fed sickens me.

@KeneAkers As I’ve said many times on FB, I live in a red state, in a county that is turning blue. I wear my stickers and magnets on my car proudly (hoping no one keys my car or steals my magnets).

@thejackhopkins Since early this year, I’ve been saying that the two people on the November ballot will not be Biden and Trump.

I don’t think Donald Trump makes it to November. No, I don’t have any news that you don’t. However, with the GOP suddenly staring at the possibility of a crushing defeat, and knowing a Kamala win means stacking SCOTUS, and passing legislation that slams the brakes on their plans, I just don’t how they go forward with Trump, knowing defeat is all but certain. I think we have some surprises coming.
