One of the most interesting crosstabs in our America in 2026 survey is age. Adults 18 to 29 are especially optimistic about their personal finances, and Ben Leff shared a possible driver: younger Americans might be leaning into AI as a tool for career growth and productivity. Whether that optimism turns into reality will depend on wages, job mobility, and cost of living. But as a signal, it challenges the narrative that younger Americans are uniformly pessimistic. The Verasight team had incredible week in Chicago at #SPSP2026. One highlight was seeing Kelly Swanson present on the relationship between partisanship extremity and opinions on political violence and human rights. At our booth, we engaged with incredible researchers who visited and contributed a free question to our omnibus survey. We also brought attendees together for a lively rooftop bar gathering to swap ideas and to hear about the latest psychology research. Thank you to the attendees who added a question, and to the @SPSPnews for bringing us all together. We’re energized by the conversations sparked, the connections made, and the work ahead. #SPSP26
