@verm95536 @ThrillaRilla369 Social security is insurance, not a tax/ retirement account. If you are permanently disabled at 35 after working for 12 years, social security and Medicare have to pay for you from 35 years old until you're as old as your 90s.

Just like we used to be able to write off health insurance. It sure would be nice to write off 15% of your total income.
