@Paul_Hanslow Some of the problems in lighter weights are really just added variety. There's a real pull toward even distribution of color in light styles, but I like the faces that have occasional exceptions. Lifted comes to mind: futurefonts.xyz/regan-fred-joh…

Is it possible to keep the diagonal cut on the Black weight /t/ in the Thin weight? I know no typefaces that achieve this successfully without creating a dark spot in the lighter weights.

@domesticetch Critique can also help a designer have a long and healthy career, where only giving support/positivity might send them off a cliff by telling them to do the same thing over and over again

Assuming that anyone saying something "negative" is petty or insecure is, frankly, insulting, as well as a total misunderstanding of the importance of critique. Learning to look closely and assess work develops our own skills as makers. See: all of art school!

TBH, I think attitudes like this are how we ended up with the current design media landscape: an echo chamber of “promotional” content without much room for critical inquiry. Good critique isn’t personal; it looks at the industry and the client as much as the individual studio!

@w__h_ Super weird in the examples that have two m's, one "healed" and one...damaged?

GitHub Next's Monaspace font has a well explained feature called "texture healing" to substitute glyph combinations that contain squashed and stretched glyphs for more even rhythm but I actually think you should just suck it up… and stop being a baby… github.com/githubnext/mon…
