I did counter sniper for the UN secretary general overseas 20 years ago while in the US Army. Not the most experienced in these operations but a little.
The SS sniper was glassing, appears to not have been in an optimal shooting position when he identified the shooter. His glass could have also had a narrow field of view depending on magnification level.
That said. It’s clear once he identified the threat and was on target he engaged.
What we need to know is what was he looking at in the minute before, radio chatter etc. Was orders given not to engage?
This is not that guys fault. In these type of operations, the shooter should have never made it onto a roof so close. It’s a leadership failure in planning, lack of agents.
Not having those buildings covered is either incompetence, or strategic.

It appears that the sniper was looking right at him while he shot Trump. He waited to shoot him until AFTER the first rounds flew? Any law enforcement who follow me care to shed some light on this?

@utism_ So...I was pretty upset and confused when this happened. Months after this, I watched "Inside 9/11" I believe by National Geographic. As years passed and I learned more, and realized that whole documentary, "Inside 9/11" was propaganda. Did anyone else watch that?
