As a non-baseball fan, I find it absolutely hilarious that we have an automatic system that tells us if it is a ball or strike in real-time on our television, but the actual game depends on the umpire’s discretion.

@CraigSi_Hi @SadYuDarvish Yes, you *can* set alerts. But very few people do. That would be annoying, incessant alerts. What is your point!
English

@SadYuDarvish .... it's 2024... you can set bank alerts for every transaction that occurs on your account. You can get a text message and/or email each time. Unless you're buying goods like a stock trader trades stocks... you'd notice the alerts

@Steener1921 @therealchiquis @BenVerlander Implying that he was *merely* an interpreter is moronic and you know it.
English

@therealchiquis @BenVerlander Dane cook had his brother steal money not some guy interpreting

Nobody ever wants to admit they’re wrong. Especially on social media.
The conspiracy theorists just get louder.
Ben Verlander@BenVerlander
Transferred more than 16 MILLION from Ohtani’s account. My god.
English

@carellijawn @BenVerlander You guys sure have a lot of homoerotic imagery floating around in your head (even as an apparent insult), pretty odd and telling!
English

@MustangScott @JRoutzon117 @BenVerlander Calling him an "interpreter" as if he's a marginal figure is so braindead and misleading. He was his confidant/assistant essentially (including interpreting). And in that role, he weaseled his way into Ohtani's accounts.
He wasn't merely an interpreter, and you know that.
English

@JRoutzon117 @BenVerlander Much less let your interpreter, of all people, be the ONLY ONE with access to the account.
English

@TimmcDermott13 @BenVerlander Yes, because there's nothing remotely fishy to suggest Ohtani's guilt. Every single player in the major leagues should be given that assumption and benefit of the doubt, when there's no evidence whatsoever against them.
I'm so glad this vicious and irrational mob is eating crow.
English

@BenVerlander If this happened to any other player, would you be working so hard to lay cover for them?? 🤔🤔🤔

The Cubs had won 234 consecutive games when leading by 8 or more runs. Last loss was in 2002.
Jesse Rogers@JesseRogersESPN
After trailing 8-0, the Padres lead the Cubs 9-8 in the 9th. If they win, it’ll tie for the biggest comeback in franchise history.
