What people need to understand with the Benton appointment is that it isn’t a mistake.
Alistair Harrison knew his background and was warned about his appointment but went ahead with it anyway because he wants nationalists to leave Restore.
It’s why he cancelled @Saskiateague youth wing appearance and if it wasn’t for @cfdownes_ tweet apologising for the cancellation that situation would have spiralled.
Until you understand Alistair Harrison is deliberately trying to sideline nationalists you’ll continue defending a party who hates you.
Alistair Harrison, Orla Minihane, Scott Benton, and Montgomery Toms all need to go.
Nationalists need to write in, post at Rupert, and attend party events to express our displeasure.

The whole Blue Labour movement now makes more sense. It is a marriage of convenience. Right-wing pundits like it because it echoes many of their talking points, but the “Labour” label gives the channel a shield against Ofcom complaints, since it can be framed as internal Labour debate rather than overt partisan commentary.
In return, Blue Labour figures get airtime and the chance to cosplay as leaders of a major political force. In reality, they have very little weight inside the parliamentary Labour Party.
That is not to say they never say anything of value. But it does create a false impression of influence they simply do not have.
