In 2015, Theo Baloyi launched Bathu Footwear.
The very first person to buy a pair of Bathu sneakers was Sphiwe — the gentleman pictured with Theo.
Today, Sphiwe is Bathu’s Warehouse Supervisor, leading a team of more than 70 employees.
From Bathu’s first customer to helping run the business from the inside.
That’s not just a success story — it’s a testament to loyalty, opportunity, and the power of building with people.

Meet Tlhalefo Dithebe, a livestock farmer from Kuruman in the Northern Cape.
After studying Retail Business Management and building a career in retail, she made a bold decision in 2021: she resigned from her permanent job and invested her pension money into farming.
Many would have called it risky.
Today, she owns 133 cattle and 147 goats through her farming business, Agro Queen, supplying feedlots, auctions, and local communities.
The lesson? Sometimes the safest path is having the courage to build something of your own. 🐄🐐

I stand with South Africans coz why should we hate them for arguing that all Africans should fix their nations so that we can reduce pressure on South African jobs? Why are Zimbabweans electing mediocrity then go to work in South Africa?? Nigerians are tribal but go to shit on other countries?? I support South Africans, let other Africans fix their nations!

We had zero expectations from any other nations to support Bafana Bafana. If your country didn’t qualify for the World Cup you have every right to support whoever you like.
