@LindseyGrahamSC This is a veteran. 20 years of service. 6/4 he went to the VA for a routine phlebotomy. It went sideways—his arm swelled and bruised violently. The nurse ignored his pain. He returned to the ER on June 9. Waited 4 hrs. 0 one helped. How we treat our heroes?

This happened at @CharlestonVAHCS . The nurse couldn’t care less about the pain I was feeling when my arm locked up and contracted after she removed the needle. She didn’t even remove the AirPods out of her ears as I told her I was in serious pain. This picture is 10 days after

@LawsonAudlawson @Jkineman Most of u don't know the difference between a AR-15 or a M16 or whatever is used right now. A AR-15 is a repurposed shot gun. it is a single fire like a shot gun but it does have a clip compared to loading a barrel. AR-15 use bullets instead of Shells, but a AR-15 is no m16.

You can still respect the Second Amendment yet believe that we should have common sense gun laws. I'm tired of people making the claim that gun regulations are already at their upper-most bounds without abridging the Constitution. This is far from the case. 1) We should, and we can, have universal background checks. We can close the loopholes and make sure that everyone buying or being transferred a gun needs to pass a background check. 2) We can require gun-ownership insurance. Just like auto insurance is required in most US states, so too could gun insurance for gun owners. More dangerous guns (statistically speaking) would be more expensive to insure, based on a for-profit insurance model. 3) Ban Assault weapons and High Capacity Magazines. It was done before and it can be done again. Short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns have been illegal for almost 100 years, unless you jump through hoops to buy one. Those hoops include fingerprinting, registration, and paying a fee ($200+). Machine guns have been banned in America for almost 40 years. You can't buy any Machine Gun made after 1986, and if you are transferred one made before that, it requires a special registration and license. Do the same for certain assault weapons like the AR-15. 4) Allow gun manufacturers to be held accountable. Repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. Why should the gun industry have this protection but no other industry? All of these things can be done to help protect our fellow Americans, our kids, and our police officers. Republicans need to stop voting on laws based on NRA money. What are your thoughts?
