I do find the whole “we can’t live up to BG3 standards” discourse hilarious, because the way some devs talk about it, you’d think Larian created some impossible, once-in-a-lifetime miracle nobody could ever replicate. When in reality, they mostly just… put genuine effort into the game, listened to player feedback, and respected their audience. And somehow the industry reacted like Larian personally ruined RPG development forever.

Here is my list of what I believe #DOA7 should have and not have to be successful. 🤝🏾 • Rollback • Diverse tech. No systems such as "bound" that limits possibilities and creativity. • In game skins, rewards, in game currency purpose, collectible nostalgic items. This generates a interest into the lore and attachment to the characters and game. • Interactive lobby system like DOA4. Encourage community engagement. • Cross-platform. Its 2026 there is no reason we can not do this. DOA negative reputation in the FGC needs this to reach a higher player base and interest. • Online Training mode. Further encourages community engagement and reach. • Revert to less dramatic stage transitions. Past DOAs did this better. DOA6 dolphin dives, Trex impact, etc was a bit much. •Keep the women hot. Focus on "cool" skins. Sexy is still ok but you must balance. It can not be all sexualize or overwhelming sexual or you become that as a product. • Online lobbies at launch, Rank at launch. Game Director on Assassin’s Creed Hexe, has left Ubisoft mid-development. After 9 years at the studio, he’s joining a new indie studio called Servo Games as Game Director and co-founder. This is the second major leadership exit for the project, following Creative Director Clint Hocking’s departure earlier this year. Ubisoft says development continues under the existing team with Jean Guesdon now leading creative direction.
