@jasondemers5 Vegas has 3 legit #1 dmen. Are they at Makars level? Of course not but they are first pairs. It’s called depth.

I’d like to see any team losing their number 1 defenseman win a round, let alone a Stanley Cup. I understand Makar is the best D in the NHL, but I wonder when the last time a team won a cup without a number 1 d man 🤷🏻‍♂️

With all do respect to Cale Makar, who is a beast, yet to hear anything from the talking heads about the VGK missing Mark Stone. The captain just averaged 1.2 points per game, plays in all situations and routinely gets votes for the Selke as a winger. He’s kinda a big deal.
