I don't know whether other footballers experience this. But I get used to one boot that I refuse to let it go, no matter how worn out it becomes. When it starts spoiling, I repair it, sew it, resew it, up to embarrassing level. Just used to that boot. Simply because it feels so comfortable. Got 5 boots, but this my worn-out favourite of over three years is still my preference. So attached to it that the sole broke and I still mended it. I feel so comfortable playing in it.
