@Lukas_fta @KitZatara7 So just because you like Magik more makes her “a far more valuable character”? Her death and its impact on Colossus is directly pulled from the comics where she was also dead for a majority of the 90s and not brought back until the late 2000s.

Welcome Magik to the club of comic sorceresses fridged in an animated adaptation, where they literally just stand there instead of using their magic while meaningfully looking at the man whose story they’re motivating with their death. 😭 Zatanna fans feel your pain

@Lukas_fta @KitZatara7 Magik had a cameo or two in the original ‘92 series, Colossus was much more prominent of the two. You gotta remember this is a sequel series and Magik’s surge in popularity is a very recent thing. They should not be re writing major arcs because “X” character is popular in Rivals

Drew Struzan has sadly passed away at the age of 78. He was the legendary artist that worked on posters for the original 6 ‘Star Wars’ films, ‘Back to the Future’, ‘Indiana Jones’, ‘The Thing’ & much more.

Remember that part in #Andor when all those reporters on Ghorman made it sound like the Ghormans were violent and the Empire HAD to send in soldiers to stop things from getting out of hand but in reality the soldiers WANTED things to get out of hand? Yea, that was crazy huh?

Just learned that Drew Struzan can no longer paint anymore, as his Alzheimer's has progressed. What an incredible legacy that captured every generation...

DVDs don’t do that. BluRays don’t do that. Pirated files don’t do that.

@HighDefDiscNews Highly recommend Half Price Books. My 2 local stores always have a good rotation of pre owned blu rays from $4-8 and 4k’s and steel books even pop up pretty frequently. They also let you return discs if they’re defective or damaged, but even then I’ve never had an issue.

Target abandoned #PhysicalMedia in stores, just like Best Buy did. Target was later to do it. Some stores just stopped carrying physical media just this year or last. Target still offers titles online to order but that’s it. Walmart seems to be heading this route with decreasing amounts of titles out each week. It’s a sad time if you’re used to going to a store to buy something on 4K UHD or Blu-ray. Hell, even DVD for that matter. You’ll still find a decent selection at Barnes & Noble, but wait for a sale — as they’re overpriced. They’re about the only brick and mortar physical retailer still carrying home video releases. It’s odd but I’m seeing people finding more stuff at places like Goodwill than you would at a retailer. Small stores that still specialize in selling items on home video physically need our support as well. Places like @orbitdvd down in Asheville, NC. — for one. Everyone, feel free to chime in with your take on this topic. Also, let us know where you still find physical media in stores.👇🏼

People are going “How did he get 65K in residuals when he’s barely in the movie?” Yeah, that’s how big the DVD market was at the time, and how important residuals could be for actors not getting work on a regular basis. Also a big part of why actors went on strike in 2023.
