Proactive agents > Reactive chatbots. If I have to prompt it, it's just a better search bar. A real AI agent should listen to my calendar and Slack, then tell ME what's done before I even ask. Disagree? Tell me a use case where a human prompt is strictly better than a triggered workflow.

Andrej Karpathy said it best: 2026 is the year we stop "coding" and start "manifesting." I spent 10 years as a Rails dev. Now, 80% of my "build time" for dexy.so is spent choreographing agents. The new "senior engineer" isn't the one who writes the most lines. It's the one who defines the most precise intent. The code is the implementation detail. The knowledge is the product.

Never underestimate the David vs. Goliath factor. There is a deep-seated human desire to see the underdog disrupt the status quo. Lesson learnt.

Hey @Google / @antigravity team, I hit a case where Antigravity silently stopped replying due to local worktree setup issues. Logs showed failures around extensions.worktreeConfig, stale prunable worktrees, and untracked nested .claude/worktrees/ dirs being patched as files. Fixing Git worktree metadata + excluding nested worktrees restored replies. Would be great if Antigravity surfaced this as an actionable workspace error instead of hanging.

my problem with Claude Cowork is the same problem I have with most AI trainings: "meeting non-technical people where they are" radically limits what they can get out of AI. the technology can be genuinely transformational for people who have never touched or thought about code but only if they embrace a new way of thinking and working. most annoyingly, beyond getting subpar output, they'll have no idea they could be doing anything differently and will earnestly believe they are using AI to its fullest. you can't teach people to use AI without teaching structured problem solving, task decomposition, setting and evaluating quality criteria, clear communication, and how to work through blockers with the AI itself. I mean, you *can*, obviously…but...what's the point?

I noticed something odd about how I use AI recently. I’ll sometimes ask for advice “for a friend”… even when I’m in incognito mode. Logically, it makes no difference. The system doesn’t know me personally. But I still create that layer of distance. Which makes me wonder, are we designing for privacy, or for the feeling of privacy? Curious: have you caught yourself doing something similar?
