URGENT KARTING COMMUNICATION Motorsport South Africa (MSA) would like to inform all competitors that the permit for the MSA Rotax National Championship event scheduled for 24–25 April at Idube Kart Circuit has been withdrawn due to safety concerns identified at the circuit. MSA is currently working closely with the promoters, and further communication will be issued as soon as possible. MSA remains committed to ensuring that all events are conducted in a safe and compliant environment for competitors, officials, and stakeholders.

🏁 MSA PARTNERS WITH AFRICAN MOTORSPORT EVENTS TO PROMOTE NATIONAL RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP Motorsport South Africa has entered into an agreement with African Motorsport Events to become the official promoter of the National Rally Championship, marking an exciting new chapter for rallying in South Africa. The organisation, owned by respected industry figures Archie Rutherford, Sandra Labuscagne and Evan Hutchison, brings extensive experience in organising and promoting major events, including the highly successful SA Rally-Raid Series. MSA CEO Vic Maharaj welcomed the partnership, noting that it brings “valuable experience and fresh energy to the championship.” The 2026 season is set to begin on 21 March with a unique all-tar opening event featuring stages at the Gerotek Testing Facility and a finale at Zwartkops Raceway. This training is open to anyone interested in becoming a marshal, as well as existing officials who would like to build on their experience.
