@ellielexx I wish I could say New Year gets better but hasn’t for me yet. Every Jan 1st, I think,”How can we have another year without you?”It hurts to know there will not be a single new memory in 2025 with my son. It is just about surviving the day in your pain- sorry for your loss.

We didn’t just lose you in 2024. We’ve lost you for every year of our lives to come. I can’t imagine a time when that pain and loss will ever feel anything other than excruciatingly painful and enormously sad.

Look at you. It’s the end of 2022. You had your whole life ahead of you. And now it’s the end of 2024, and there‘s nothing left of you but memories. I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to this. 🧵

@vidahryan I think it’s as pretty as mine! Is that snow too? Where are you? Indeed the sun is setting quite early. I was unfortunately on the phone while the sun was setting today so I missed it.

It’s my son’s bday today. He would have been 27 years old. Instead he became my angel when he was 9. I miss him everyday and always worse on this day. Losing a child is just not something that should ever happen. What I wouldn’t give to hold him in my arms again😢😢

Such a hard day…. Had to say goodbye to my little guy. 13 years was not enough. Dogs really are important parts of our families. What’s worse is that his brother doesn’t understand and keeps looking for him and whining because he can’t find him. We have to grieve together.

@nathanand It has been 15 years for me and there are still a few days per year, where I am an emotional wreck missing my boy. It happens and is totally okay, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Losing a child, is a terrible club to be part of.

By the time 7am rolled around, I’d had three emotional breakdowns. I decided to take the day off work and just let the grief roll, I guess. It’s one less stressor. I miss you Kaya. It has almost been 3 years.

@DogLovers03 Sorry for your loss and can completely relate. We just lost our 13 year old dog…heart failure with fluid. I’m sure your heart is breaking, as is mine.

Luna was a little sick past couple days bit still herself. Tonight I came home from work and she didn't bark, didn't come up to me. Took her potty, and she just sat, and seemed off. I pure her in her kennel to keep the other dogs away and she fell on her side. Rushed to the ER vet ER vet saw tons of fluid outside her lungs and heart. She was sent to the rainbow bridge within a few minutes as she appeared to be crashing. She was 12

@ellielexx So sorry for your loss. Years later, I still have nightmares remembering the day I held my boy for the last time. The pain never truly goes away. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

My beautiful boy Billy died in my arms. I’m never going to get over it. It hurts so much. DIPG is a child killing cancer and a monster that has to be stopped. My brave little boy, pitted in a battle against the devil, a fight he didn’t want and could never win. It’s not fair 💔

I will cherish my cruise time with the family. It was relaxing but still a lot of fun. If you have never been to the Bahamas- I highly recommend it! The waters are clear blue and tropical trees everywhere.
