7 Years Later: Less Than 30% Have Passed KYC - Why Strict KYC Matters for Pi Network
From over 65 million users, more than 18.1 million people have already passed Pi’s native KYC identity verification.
More than 16.7 million Pioneers have migrated to Mainnet.
Pi Network’s KYC system combines AI automation and human validation to verify that each applicant is a real person while protecting user privacy.
AI helps process, analyse, and hide sensitive personal data, while human validators review key parts of the application without seeing unnecessary private information.
The goal is to confirm that:
■ The applicant is a real, living person
■ The account follows Pi’s KYC policy requirements
■ Duplicate or fake accounts are prevented from entering Mainnet
Pi’s KYC process is intentionally strict because weak verification would damage the ecosystem. If fake or duplicate accounts were allowed through, rewards could become unfair, Mainnet migration could be distorted, and apps would not be able to rely on real user authenticity.
This matters even more because Pi Network is being built for real utility - including payment points, RWAs, digital services, AI-based and robotics-based fractional payments. For these use cases to work at scale, Pi must be able to meet evolving regulatory compliance expectations and prove that its network is built on verified human participation.

✨ Some of you may think we went silent because we stopped working on ION.
We didn’t.
As we said weeks ago, we are still here, still building, and still fighting to put the project back on the right path.
Yes, the team is smaller now. But I still believe this team is capable of doing something powerful once the work we’ve been doing is ready to be shown publicly.
In the past, you were used to weekly bulletins, timelines, updates, and constant transparency.
That changes now.
We will no longer share every step, every internal milestone, or every expected timeline before things are ready. We learned the hard way that too much transparency can sometimes create more damage than trust, especially when technical delays happen and people turn unfinished work into FUD.
This period may look difficult from the outside, but I believe it will make the community stronger. It will separate the noise from the believers, the bad mouths from the builders, and the short-term panic from the long-term vision.
Our focus now is simple: build products that generate real revenue, so we never end up in this position again.
Big changes are coming. The website will be updated. The whitepaper will be updated. And when the time is right, the new direction will be clear.
One lesson I learned personally: never brag before the product is ready. If what we are building was easy, everyone would have done it already.
Right now, words will not convince everyone. And that is fine.
Because if our plan works and we execute it properly, the results will speak louder than any post.
We are not building only for crypto users.
We are building something that can scale beyond crypto, cheaper, faster, and with real utility.
Silence does not mean surrender.
It means focus.

Many InterLink users still do not fully understand the purpose of the InterLink Visa/Mastercard card or why payment-card integration matters. The simple answer is utility ( so your mined $ITLG and your $ITL will have a decent price in the future). If users can spend, move, and use value linked to the InterLink ecosystem in real-world payments, then $ITLG / $ITL gains more practical use beyond just mining. Real utility creates stronger demand, stronger ecosystem activity, and potentially a healthier market value over time. This is what makes InterLink different.
