I wrote this 15 years ago. I had no idea the old copies would mean so much to some people some day. I hope the other two dozen copies reach their destination soon. As for those who expressed their interest but couldn't get a copy of The Initiative, I'm personally reaching out! 🙏

No Other Choice was the best, yet snubbed everywhere. Rankings in cinema are meaningless. I found Sentimental Value and The Secret Agent really good. It Was Just An Accident and Sirat were a little underwhelming but great films nonetheless. Homebound should've made it to finals.

#Dhurandhar is a cool film. But coolness - if not rooted in authenticity - gets boring. And that happens. And Rakesh Bedi tries to save it and I love him for that.

Two of the most influential books of my life are releasing as web series this year: 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' & 'Freedom at Midnight'...in the year that I released my own book. Strange feeling. I wish someone adapts my book into a reel in future- with a super cringe tune ♥️

Super special moment for me! Took my Chachu to cinema this weekend & got the box seats (old-fashioned balcony but modernized). It was his first 'recliner' experience. He is solely responsible for getting me addicted to movies. A thank you to the OG cinephile of my life ❤️

The overwhelming idealism of #Ikkis is its only weak point. If you can take that leap of faith, it's a brilliant war drama with the most riveting tank battle & top notch performances especially by Dharmendra who goes gentle & yet rages against the dying of the light! RIP legend.
