@tranhelen I've been tweaking our budget over the last few months to free up more dollars to invest and I've been regularly discouraged when it comes to investment day that we've overshot our budget in a consistent 3 categories: Groceries, Restaurants, and Gas/Travel.

Happiness is not a function of what you achieve. It's a function of how you spend your time. Success is a temporary thrill. Happiness lies in doing daily activities that bring you joy. There's always a new mountain to climb. You don't have to anchor your emotions to the summit.

This will be my last week on my team. I’m going to post some reflections in this thread. Stepping through this door lead to one of the most meaningful and fulfilling seasons of my life. Grateful for the opportunity. I entered with little, I leave with much.

In toxic cultures, being a workaholic is normalized and sacrificing sleep is glorified. The best way to get ahead is to burn out. In healthy cultures, quality of life is expected and having a life is celebrated. You're encouraged to put your well-being above your work.
