With all the talk and frustration of @astros fans I think these things need to be considered. If the Astros were to fire Dana Brown before the Draft who would you have drafting? You gonna post Bagwell in that spot? This draft is the most important in recent Astros history. Now Joe Esapada and Josh Miller seem much more realistic fall guys at this point. A team that can't win games, with a pitching staff that can't stop delivering game ending hits to the opponents. Either way, Omar Lopez would slide in as MGR if Esapada were to be fired. Even then how many more games would this team win if the performance of starters doesn't improve and the injuries don't get any less frequent.

@Chandler_Rome Dana's stock is not looking good. For those crying for Crane to fire him, just remember than Crane is the one who hired Dana.

The optics are not good for Dana Brown, whose team played a man short on Sunday and paid for it, whose pitching staff isn't being helped by the 5.61 ERA from six new arms he acquired this offseason and whose first draft pick had a miserable afternoon - nytimes.com/athletic/72109…
