It amazes me, having grown up in New England, that we don’t have emergency plans for parking when weather like this hits the city. I’ve been in DC for 15 years, and the fact that they still don’t pre-treat or have plans to ensure streets can be cleared is insane to me. @WashProbs

The mayor loves to post about how her teams are working really hard to clear the streets, but it’s stuff like this that really emphasizes how unprepared we are. Trash overflowing b/c folks can’t even bring it back home b/c trash hasn’t been picked up in a week. @WashProbs

This shit reaches so much further than clearing sidewalks and and one or two lanes on each street. If there’s still 2 feet of snow from the curb, there’s no way trash collectors can do their jobs and now we’re just living in filth. @WashProbs
