I spoke to Thiru Vijay and congratulated him on TVK’s spectacular result. This mandate reflects the rising voice of youth which cannot, and will not, be ignored. My heartfelt thanks to the Congress workers of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for their hard work and support. I reiterate that the Congress party will continue to protect and serve the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

I congratulate all our party workers for their tireless and dedicated efforts during these elections. The results have been a mixed bag. However, we must remember that ours is an ideological battle. Such a path demands patience, perseverance, and unwavering resolve. Our party has always chosen the path of truth, justice, and inclusivity. While the journey may be challenging, we remain steadfast in our commitment to serve the people and protect the core values of our democracy. Let us move forward with renewed determination and continue our struggle with unity and purpose.

Assam and Bengal are clear cases of the election being stolen by the BJP with the support of the EC. We agree with Mamata ji. More than 100 seats were stolen in Bengal. I travelled through Great Nicobar today. These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow. The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs. The government calls what it is doing here a “Project.” What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away. This is not development. This is destruction dressed in development’s language. So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this country’s natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime. It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.

"अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने भारत को 'नरक' बताया है" - ये बात बेहद अपमानजनक है और भारत विरोधी है। हर भारतीय इससे आहत है। इस बात के लिए PM मोदी को अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति से बात करनी चाहिए और कड़ी आपत्ति दर्ज करानी चाहिए। हालांकि, जिस हिसाब का मोदी का ट्रैक-रिकॉर्ड रहा है, ऐसे में यह उम्मीद नहीं की जा सकती कि मोदी, ट्रंप के आगे कुछ बोल पाएंगे। ट्रंप लगातार भारत के लिए अपमानजनक बातें करते हैं और मोदी चुपचाप सुनते हैं। नरेंद्र मोदी एक कमजोर प्रधानमंत्री हैं और इसका खामियाजा पूरा देश भुगत रहा है।

Overall crude production has collapsed by nearly 22% since 2014–15. ⛽️Gas output has suffered an even more shocking decline of around 40%, falling from 47,555 MMSCM in 2011–12 to just 28,672 MMSCM in 2020–21. ⛽️ Now, the Modi Govt has stopped ANY new LPG connection. After long queues, 45-day wait for Rural India to book a cylinder, to black-marketing, the people bore the brunt of "Sab Changa Si" (All is well) denials! Fertilizer Even before geopolitical disruptions, fertiliser shortages were already being reported across multiple seasons. Indian farmers suffer painfully suffer the consequences of BJP's apathy! 🌾Fertilizer production has now fallen to a 5-year-low in March 2026, with a massive 24.6% year-on-year drop. 🌾China has already restricted specialised fertilizers in July 2025, but Modi Govt did not bother to diversify imports. Russia has also now halted fertilizer exports. Perhaps PM Modi, should heed to his own Mardarshak Mandal member, Shri Murli Manohar Joshi, who recently said that we should not use the rhetoric of "Vishwaguru" anymore!

17 अप्रैल को संसद में जो कुछ हुआ और बिल गिरने के बाद मोदी जी और BJP के नेती जिस तरह झूठ का पहाड़ खड़ा कर रहे हैं, वो सब आपने देखा सुना होगा। मोदी जी लोकतंत्र की पीठ में छुरी मारते हैं और कहते हैं कि मैं महिलाओं के हक में काम कर रहा हूँ। मोदी जी जिस विचारधारा को मानते हैं, उसमें महिलाओं को दूर रखने की बात की जाती है। जबकि कांग्रेस ने आजादी के बाद महिलाओं को वोट का अधिकार दिया। आज मोदी जी लोगों को ऐसा बहका रहे हैं, जैसे- देश को आजादी 2014 के बाद मिली। मगर वे जान लें, इस देश को बनाने का काम कांग्रेस पार्टी ने किया। गाँधी जी, नेहरू जी, सरदार पटेल जी ने विकास के काम किए और देश को प्रगति की राह पर लेकर गए। कांग्रेस पार्टी ने 2023 में ही कहा था कि महिला आरक्षण तुरंत लागू कीजिए, लेकिन मोदी सरकार नहीं मानी। अगर आज महिलाओं को उनका हक़ नहीं मिल पाया है तो उसके दोषी मोदी और शाह हैं। 📍कूच बिहार, पश्चिम बंगाल
