On this year's Earth Overshoot Day, we hope to remind you of how precious and finite our planet's resources are and ask you to rethink your consumption habits so that Earth Overshoot Day can fall later in 2023.

🌎 Today, July 28th, we reached 2022's #EarthOvershootDay, marking the day that we've used up all the biological resources that Earth regenerates during one year. What does that mean?

🇩🇪🌿 In 2015, 93,5% of all PET-bottles were recycled, and for PET-bottles with Pfand, this increased to 97,9%. according to: Bericht der Gesellschaft für Verpackungsmarktforschung

♻️ Recycle your plastic waste! Plastic is everywhere nowadays, and it is almost impossible to avoid using some form of plastic. But, when you have plastic, make sure you throw it in the recycling bin, not the general waste bin, so that the resources can be recovered and reused!

Let’s talk about plastic.

♻️ When you buy a drink in a plastic bottle, use that bottle more often before throwing it away! A bottle can be used up to 25 times before it needs to be recycled.

☕️ Get a Take-Away Mug (also called Keep-Cups) for hot drinks! A lot of coffee shops will even give you a discount for providing your own cup, instead of using their disposable ones!
