Can I share something extra personal with you? So, my wife & I are both in therapy. After what happened, it was an important & necessary thing to do. It’s been incredibly helpful. It has also been recommended that I go to a different, separate therapy. It’s a special kind of therapy called ETT for people who have seen/witnessed extremely traumatic things. Finding my wife the way I found her… and thinking she was dead… it really f*cked me up. On one hand, it’s a driving force. It makes me want to FIGHT. So my wife, & our daughter, don’t have to live in a world where torturous things happen because of abortion bans, & confusing laws. On the other hand, it’s this terrible thing that we will carry with us forever. That’s the hardest part. FOREVER. The gut wrenching experience… & the images forever stamped in my memory. We will both carry it with us for the rest of our lives. So… I can either just let the terrible thing, be the terrible thing. Or I can go to therapy, & go out into the world & do whatever I can to defend my family, & make the terrible thing do something good. I don’t know if that makes any sense… I hope it does. I know there are a lot of people out there supporting us, & rooting for us. The 2nd half of today was hard. Maybe I just needed to vent. 💔💙 #reproductiverights #abortionishealthcare #mentalhealth
