@bmkibler I have a really hard time getting people to play standard at my store or really any other format other than Commander. Even with prize support and promotions. They really don't seem to care for it at least in its current state. Doesn't help when WOTC barely promotes it.

Standard used to be the *standard* way people competed in Magic. Thus the name. FNM was standard. Regionals and nationals were Standard. PTQs were often Standard. Most of the Pro Tours were Standard. And now maybe one PT and one RC a year? Why would most ppl play it?

I really don’t think it can be overstated how important it is for Standard to be a healthy, supported format for Magic - both from a business and design perspective.
