Detransition needs to be covered the same under insurance as gender transition. Laser hair removal is expensive and not covered by insurance for detransition. Further, I’ll need some electrolysis to go along with laser. Moreover, I need TIME. Having a career & running my own law firm takes up the majority of my time. It’s something that I plan on doing when I have both money and time. A lot of trans identified males, on the other hand, can get laser hair removal of their man beards covered under insurance. Insurance was covering the laser and electrolysis I was getting on my arm in preparation for phalloplasty (bottom surgery). Insurance often covers laser hair removal for trans identified males on their genitals in preparation for cutting their dicks off too. This needs to change. Insurance is helping to churn out a wave of future detransitioners & doctors are making bank off of it.
