Yes I’ve made similar points, it is actually far WORSE because most people desist from identity disorders at much higher rates than this study shows. But simultaneously parasites and opportunists have catered to those who have the money so actual transition rates are being masked.
Either way, this study only claims what it measured.
Meanwhile, people overcome identity disorders everyday without a “diagnosis”.

@PatzwaldtPetra @VincentPsychSE Alot of trans people get their diagnosis over public health insurance, get fed up, and then take their Hormones through Private Insurance or Out of pocket doctors.
Therefore no billing. The wealthier ones will also already be on that system to start with.

I switched to single bladed safety razors and that's been the smoothest, no irritation, no missed hairs, no in-growns experience so far.

@Lispy_Dipshit Could be a rare instance, Ive only ever known 1 other person who said this but their issue was that all razors weren’t adequate enough for their hair.
If you really hate shaving, laser is a great option. Ive gotten it for a year now.

We transition later in life, and may only realize it later in life, or repress. The claim isn't that we had the same womanhood back then than we do now, it's that this was always going to be the outcome for us.

@AimbotAimy i have every sympathy in the world for people who go through that experience. i just reject the framing of "i was always a woman, even a decade before i knew it and transitioned", because the natural next question is "if you were a woman then, why transition at all?"

But my gender therapist says most trans people in their care don't know all that much about HRT before their 1st endo appointment.
The majority aren't going to inform themselves either, and unfortunately blindly trust their doctor.
