I don't have scientifically backed tips, but I'm a big believer in finding some role models and I'd start with @melaniefinch_ who has done an amazing job sharing her research on TikTok with video abstracts and she's a great person to look to for inspo #VirtualNotViral

@scidocmartin In medicine, it has been traditional to discuss science only amongst other doctors; usually behind paywalled journals or at conferences. It was considered perhaps beneath folk (and anyway unnecessary) to discuss more broadly. Only the esteemed few were invited to the discussion.

I think a great hook to grab the audiences attention at the beginning is also essential, and presenting your ideas in a narrative format. We find the ABT a useful tool for presenting ideas in narrative format youtube.com/watch?v=ungl-j… #VirtualNotViral #MyScienceMay

Excellent #VirtualNotViral question! I think considering your audience is the most important. Putting them at the centre, and ideally helping them to solve a problem can make for some great #SciComm What do you think #MyScienceMay team?
