@point_onefive This is why I think modern sealed is massively overinflated right now. It makes mathematically no sense to buy it. I can get three psa 10 Silver Buggy SPs for the price of a op14 case. Zero chance you’re pulling anything better than those three silver buggys if you rip the case

DID YOU KNOW ONE PIECE ROMANCE DAWN (OP01) BLUE BOTTOMS MUST ONLY BE HELD AS SEALED PRODUCT 🤔 Let me demonstrate by turning $4,300 into less than $400. $8,600 out of $51,600 successfully shredded. Enjoy! 🫡
Point📍@point_onefive

Shredding $4,300 out of $51,600 for a best-case-scenario $3500 ☠️☠️☠️ ONE PIECE TRADING CARD GAME 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ PRE ERRATA / BLUE BOTTOM 🔵🔵🔵 ROMANCE DAWN BOOSTER CASE 🔥🔥🔥

Starting to see some bigger moves up in vintage amongst the “value cards” on a percentage basis This is happening while basically all modern is down for the last month This type of card for every set pre 2003 is still a steal of a deal rn imo All it takes is a few sales for the price to go up 50% The supply available for sale is just not that high A surge of demand sends these types of cards up 3x quickly Catalysts are coming too

@chefdavenyc The set value and expensive cards is the reason why people rip the box. Hence why investors should look at investing in the box. The fact that the set value is high because cards are rare is proving the point about why it’s a great set to invest in.🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Pokémon investors, I suggest you give OP13 a peak. With Set Value at $32k, this blows every Pokémon set out of the water. Box is only $400!

@FinancialPhys So you’re saying someone who makes $381,000 per year today had the same financial quality of life as a minimum wage worker in 1971. And a married couple, each making minimum wage in 1971, would be equal to a married couple making $762,000 today. You are a moron

@Cointelegraph Do they have a Pokemon National Reserve or something? Who cares. The company has infinite insurance, infinite lawyers & infinite resources. Let them defend their product/be blessed by the burden of hyper success. Regulating baseball cards shouldn't be a government activity.

Every collectible that’s desirable will go up in value to some degree when eventually some of the supply moves on chain Collectibles are being modernized and Pokemon cards are just the leader/first mover You can take any collectible and repackage it into a gacha or other gamified digital experience and disperse it to people in that manner removing the friction of having to seek out a physical version or paying high fees Coins, video games, books, rare treasure literally any collectible can be gamified to be sold digitally with the option to keep it onchain (for access to instant liquidity) or to have the physical sent to you This is such an unlock and it’s really just starting to be a proven model This is not priced in…

If you’re going to long hold a type of pokemon card for the next 10-20 years this is my pick for the best sharpe ratio - holo cards pre 2003 that are first edition psa 8 - holo cards pre 2003 unlimited in a psa 9 - holo cards pre 2003 but not psa graded (but still reputable) in a grade 8 or 9 (half grades too) I believe the trend would look the least volatile and still capture nice upside over that time horizon at the expense of instant liquidity for a good price You can obviously capture more upside with a psa 10 but you will have a more volatile long term hold This is really just the safest/best cards to get for the set it and forget it type investor

@bihozNFTs It’s because they’re starter decks and will likely never get the same appreciation as booster packs. I agree with the general sentiment of this post though

The more I study early OPTCG, the more I think people are going to look back at this and wonder how it was ever this overlooked. Super Pre-Release. Bandai marked 1st Edition. September 2022. One time. Never reprinted. The more I dig into it, the more I realize SPR isn't just another variant or promo. It was a historical event. The launch event that introduced modern OPTCG to the English market. It's all right there on the box. Not collector slang. Not community lore. Bandai literally called it 1st Edition. One time distribution. September 2022. Once it was over, that supply was locked forever. Every card received the gold Super Pre-Release stamp. And the artwork is something I keep coming back to. Clean. Simple. Timeless. It reminds me of why so many collectors fell in love with early 1st Edition Pokemon cards. A unique stamp, clean artwork, and a look that instantly tells you exactly what it is. Nothing in modern OPTCG looks like SPR. Sealed ST01 1st Edition decks went from a $20 product to roughly $2,000. Whether you're bullish or bearish, that's the market voting. Most people treated these as game pieces in 2022. They were opened, played, traded, and forgotten long before OPTCG became a serious collector market. The graded populations are small. The supply of clean raw copies is even smaller. And every collector has a favorite character. Luffy fans. Zoro fans. Kaido fans. Law fans. There are simply more future collectors than there are available cards. OPTCG turns 4 this summer. In a few more years these won't be "early game" cards. They'll be remembered as the cards that started it all, the foundation of modern OPTCG, the launch event product, and the first chapter of the game's history. People love debating Demo Decks, Blue Bottom, and Pre Errata OP01, and honestly I think all of those categories matter. But every time I dig through the history of early OPTCG, I end up back at the same place: The only Bandai marked 1st Edition product in the game. Maybe Pre Errata ends up being king. Maybe it's Blue Bottom. Maybe it's something nobody is talking about today. But if collectors five years from now are asking, "What was the obvious play in early OPTCG?" I think SPR is going to be near the top of that list. Personally, I'm buying the cheap end. The foils. The character cards. The supporting cast. Same era. Same stamp. Just a fraction of the price. Could be wrong. But I have a feeling a lot of people are going to wish they paid more attention to SPR while it was still quiet.

Going to post today about what I think are some of the most undervalued cards in One Piece TCG. In a few years i genuinely think these could be the cards people look back on and say "how did I miss that It couldn't have been more obvious."

TEs I’m buying in dynasty: 📈 Tucker Kraft (TE5) 📈 Sam LaPorta (TE7) 📈 George Kittle (TE13) 📈 Mark Andrews (TE17) 📈 Michael Mayer (TE34) 📈 Greg Dulcich (TE39) 📈 Ben Sinnott (TE44) 📈 Oscar Delp (TE47) LaPorta is one of my favorite bounce-back candidates at the position and still has top 3 upside. Kittle is my favorite target for contenders that don’t already have an elite tight end. Mayer is a sneaky buy for rebuilders with a path to a much larger role in the future, and Sinnott feels overlooked because of all the Chig Okonkwo hype. At these prices, I’m buying. 📈🏈
