i’m sorry but this is such a stupid take.. they have a “hip hop unit” and they’ve worked with black producers, they perform in america and a huge part of american culture is black american culture.. so is it so bad to expect a little cultural awareness from them?

durag has cultural ties dating back to SLAVERY. worn by slaves to protect their hair from intense heat. it later became a form of rebellion against laws preventing black hair from being shown in public, and then later became a fashion statement in the 90s
