Rahul Dravid humbled after receiving Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. He says- “I am very grateful to receive this award. The earlier recipients are some of the greatest legends of the game in our country. They are people I have looked up to and admired and who have been great inspirations to me. I’ve been very lucky to be involved in Indian cricket — first as a player and even earlier as a junior cricketer benefiting from the BCCI’s system. From playing domestic cricket for Karnataka to representing India for 16 years, it has been an incredible journey. There was always talent in India, but sometimes we lacked the infrastructure and opportunities. Today, the facilities and coaching available across the country have ensured that talent from small towns can come through."

This brings immense joy and pride to our cricket loving people. It is also a marker of the rich talent pool we have among our youth in diverse fields.
