Today, I turned 50. Although I’m not much of a participant here, Swarla, Vicky Myers, Ali King and this fandom have helped me reach this particular milestone with a much more stable sense of self than teenage me could ever have imagined possible. Never not grateful. 💙🫶🏻🙏

@IStay77 @NicolaHynes1 It costs more than double on NZ$$, and I just couldn’t afford FF in the end. Probably will never get to meet Vicky but can live in hope! If my travel to Europe goes ahead next month I’ll try visit Manchester & do the Corrie star tour, at least! Really sorry for your experience x

@IStay77 @NicolaHynes1 I feel you. Other side of the world for me, and I seriously considered going to last year’s FF, then this year’s. But was so worried about her being a no show for some reason (illness, etc), & had leave already booked from mid-April. Never imagined breach of contract!

Do you have any idea how much I spent on flights and hotel alone? I am honestly so upset with FF because now there's no way I could get to a con Vicky's actually going to be at. Money already been spent.
